PROFESSIONAL STUDIES

Designed to meet the present and emerging needs of today’s private, public, and not for profit organizations, our innovative programs are presented in a variety of formats to offer busy professionals quality, flexibility and convenience.

Many programs award certificates and/or Continuing Education Units (CEUs), and are developed in collaboration with UConn's schools and colleges, other higher education institutions, professional associations and businesses, as well as community organizations.

Customized Programs

The Center for Continuing Studies will customize professional education programs to meet your organizational needs--onsite, online or on any UConn campus statewide. Convenient and secure online registration is available, and we welcome suggestions for future programs. To discuss your needs, please email cpdinfo@uconn.edu, or phone 860-486-3231.

The Center also sponsors an Academic Partnership Program. This innovative program development initiative provides seed funding to establish interdisciplinary programs, courses, or research projects that meet emerging workforce academic and professional development challenges. The Academic Partnership Program is one of the New Directions of the Center highlighted in the Advance on September 25, 2006.

Provided for you is the Academic Partnership Program Research and Development Funding for Emerging Fields 2006-2007 Request for Proposals packet as well as a letter from the Center's Director, Dr. Susan Nesbitt.
