Most of our online courses require a text. We encourage you to purchase your texts prior to the start of the course so that you can begin your reading assignments on time.

Please refer to the course syllabus for the required texts and purchasing information. The syllabus is available by clicking on the course title from the Schedule of Online Courses (see link to the left). The course syllabus will specify whether textbooks are available (1) from a bookstore in your area or on the Internet OR (2) from the Storrs UConn Co-op.

We do not order texts for online courses through the bookstores at the regional campuses; we only use the bookstore on the Storrs campus.

Books can be ordered over the phone at 1-800-873-2348, however they cannot currently be ordered via email or the Internet. The Storrs Co-op will mail books to students. The student's charges include the cost of the book/s, $2.00 handling charge, and the UPS fee. The Storrs Co-op accepts MC, VISA, American Express, and Discover Cards. Students may pay by personal check or money order. However, if the book order is being mailed, the check or money order must be received before the bookstore will mail the book/s.

The Storrs Co-op will accept a P.O. number from an outside company for textbooks. The cost of handling fees and UPS charges can also be included in the P.O. The bookstore needs approximately a two-week lead time for this type of payment (depending on the number of students and the books ordered).
